God With Us
it's no secret that i love Christmas...we're talking that i'm a serious Christmas dork. corny hallmark Christmas movies, driving through McAdenville (multiple times), Christmas carols, etc. my prayer, though, this Christmas is that i will not cease to be amazed that Emmanuel has come...He is God with us. tonight i decided that i just want to camp out in that place and allow myself to be surrounded and consumed by the fact that Emmanuel has come.
there is nothing wrong with LOVING the Christmas season but i want to love it for the right reason. i want to rejoice and celebrate because the glorious impossible has happened...Jesus has come and more importantly, beyond Christmas, there is an empty tomb.
"today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord. this will be a sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." ~ luke 2:11 & 12
"she will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." ~ matthew 1:21
"...I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."~ john 10:10
