oh, oh, oooh....the right stuff

oh yeah...i'm going and i'm so excited!!!

i bought my tickets today to the reunion concert and when i go home tonight i'm going to dig through some boxes to find my big nkotb and jordan buttons (remember those? i also had luke perry AND 90210 buttons...i have no shame at all...no shame. i can't believe i admitted that) AND my splatter paint jordan t-shirt (this shirt was a work of art, for real. it was a white t-shirt with fake splatter paint and jordan's face on the front...good times. i still remember wearing it with a pair of acid washed denim jean shorts and multi-colored hoop earrings. ick. )obviously, since i wore it in the 6th grade, it isn't going to fit me anymore but perhaps i can find a way to work it in the outfit ;). i suppose admitting to loving new kids (remember back in the day when they tried to make the switch to just being nkotb? that was such a mistake) isn't nearly as bad as admitting to the fact that i knew (and still know) the dances for "the right stuff" and for "hangin tough." so who knows...when the lights go down and the music starts, i just might bust a move or two.

Do NOT feel ashamed!! I still have my concert ticket from 1990. Oh,yeah, 4th row, center, Oakland Stadium. Good times. I KNOW Jordan was staring into MY eyes.
My entire 11th birthday was NKOTB--the cups, the napkins, the streamers, the gifts. It was only a few years ago that I finally gave up my Hangin' Tough VHS (only because I no longer had a VHS player).

As long as we're confessing...

In order of loyalties...

1. Shaun Cassidy
2. Rick Springfield
3. NKOTB
4. Bon Jovi
5. N'Sync/Backstreet Boys (it was a tie although I'm still working on it)

I think Brian only knows about Rick. But, I can't destroy my cover now. Ha ha...

In fifth grade, one of my best friends invited me to go to their concert with her. I was so excited. I even remember that I was sitting in my parents' bathroom (it was quiet in there) on the phone. To make a long story short, my parents said no. They thought I wasn't old enough to go to a concert. I'm still bitter.

There is no shame for this! And please, oh please, if you bust a move, have your sister video it on your phone so you can link it to the blog! Maybe at your wedding reception you can play some of your favorites and do a "Rock the Reception" performance for everyone...Joel would be good with that...right??

You can compare stories with Jennifer and Chad! They are hilarious!

Okay, you need to get up with Emily Clark. I think she's going too. Maybe you guys could set up a NKOTB tailgate party before the concert or something.
